A recent NIH-funded study, reported in the February 9, 2012 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, reported results that show overall improvements in balance and stability for patients with mild to moderate Parkinson’s disease—improving both balance and movement control. This study rated Tai Chi as the best physical activity for Parkinson’s disease. There have also been other recent studies that are proving similar results.
